Cons:
Uncomfortable.
Best Uses:
Home.
Describe Yourself:
Short Term User.

I sit on my couch the majority of the time and it's a reclining couch. I missed the fine print about not using it with recliners. OOPS, nothing on the web page says don't use with recliners. I didn't think so as I would not have bought it had I known.I used it most of the afternoon and my lower back and buttocks are extremely sore.[...]

Good for the price Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Easy to Control. Solid Construction. Comfortable. Portability. Multiple Positions.
Cons:
Limited Functions.
Best Uses:
Home. Limited Space.
Describe Yourself:
Elderly. No strength in legs.

I have great difficulty rising. Lift chairs are too expensive, so I was glad to find the UpEasy lifting cushion at a price we could afford. The lift helps when starting to raise up from an easy chair, but the stroke extension only rotates the lift about 30 degrees so it doesn't help me up off the chair as much as I had hoped.

Need to improve Construction Quality Verified Reviewer

Pros:
Attractive Design. Easy to Control. Comfortable.
Cons:
Poor DURABILITY.
Best Uses:
Home.
Describe Yourself:
Long Term User.

Great for home use - I usually need a hand to rise out of a chair, etc. after sitting for long periods. However, I purchased the one for up to 340 lbs and although I weigh 100 pounds less - this item broke in less than a year. The mechanism is anchored to a PLASTIC-type sheet on the bottom and that is what broke rendering it useless. I did not use it that often - I did not get the amount of use from it that I thought I would. Great item and price - but do not want to purchase a new one each year. Would only recommend for short term use and less than 200 lbs. Not good for portability in restaurants due to possible sliding from chair /seat it is placed on.

Answer:
Yes. We just put it in sideways with the front to the side. After it lowers my dad just pivots his body forward but the seat remains sideways. When he gets out he pivots back towards the door and the seat raises him up.

Question:
Is the seat comfortable enough to sit on all the time when sitting in a chair watching TV. Or do you have to somehow get it under you before you get up? It does not look comfortable enough to sit on it for any length of time. I may be wrong.

Answer:
Bought this seat for my mother due to her leg weakness & small apartment not wanting to purchase a lift chair because they seemed too large for the area. She loves it & even falls asleep in her chair while watching TV.

Question:
I'm looking for something that can be used under water. My mother has a walk-in tub with a chair-height seat, but still has problems standing from that. Is there a 100% water-proof cover for this? Or a model designed to be used underwater? Also, she does weigh a bit over 300lb so the "plus" model is needed. Thanks!
