Keep your calf warm
Pros:

After tearing my calf muscle during a rigorous workout, I was anxious to get back to the gym after a few weeks. But I still had some pain....my trainer suggested getting some form of compression wrap to keep my injured calf warm (promoting blood flow) while working out. This item has done the trick. The only downside is that neoprene does not breath so after even a moderate workout, when I remove the wrap, it is wet as is my calf. But, it is easily cleaned in the sink with a little soap.
