Even with pads! Belly is pinched when you sit up at front of hip joint. Unless your flat in bed. Then it does miracles.

Pros:
Sturdy. Effective. Easy to use.
Cons:
Gives odd profile.
Best Uses:
Tailbone injuries.

This thing is amazing! I slipped on the ice and fell down a flight of stairs a little over a year ago, fracturing and dislocating my tailbone. It is permanently damaged and painful to the point that I considered surgery to remove the tailbone, despite an abysmal success rate and major risks. Everything I had seen for coccyx injuries was completely ineffectual.. I have ridiculously expensive coccyx cushions, etc, and none of it has ever worked. I ordered this on a whim, thinking that perhaps it would reposition my permanently dislocated tailbone and help a little. The first time I put it on, the constant pain disappeared instantly! Since my injury, the only way I have been able to sit down is on a hard backless stool, with all of my weight on my pelvis. Sitting normally, especially in a soft seat like a couch, caused greatly increased pain, and when I stood up, I would experience incapacitating pain in my tailbone. I was SHOCKED to discover that I can sit down normally -- even on a couch, with a child on my lap!! -- with no pain whatsoever. Wearing this belt has completely eliminated the symptoms -- it's like the fall never happened. The only downside is that it makes me look a little weird. I'm a slim woman (size 4) but cinching the belt tight enough to get the relief I need pushes aside the flesh above and below the belt, creating a

Pros:
Lightweight. Sturdy. Safe. good SI support.
Cons:
optional pads not soft. no padding on white pads. needs padding white disc.
Best Uses:
Following Surgery. Elderly.
Describe Yourself:

The white oval plastic pads need padding. I purchased some lambswool and used sticky velcro to pad so there would be no imprints from the plastic pads.

Bell-Horn SI Sacroiliac Belt

Pros:
Lightweight. Sturdy. Safe.
Best Uses:
slipped disc. pinched sciatica.
Describe Yourself:
Average Health.

I had a slipped disc with a pinched sciatica. I went to the chiropractor for adjustments and she began teaching me exercises to strengthen my lower back muscles that would help to pull the sciatica back into position. She recommended a similar SI belt that I have worn faithfully for two years along with continued exercising. I wore the belt out and found this one online that is exactly the same design and more economical. I do not want to have to do surgery on my back. So far, this has worked well for me and I would recommend it highly. Some people have said it doesn't work but they may not know the correct way to adjust it and wear it. For the record, I am 60 years old, female, 5'3
