I had back surgery and my back used to hurt after being in bed just a few hours. With the EggCrate Matress Pad back pain is a thing of the past. Thank you so much!

Best sleep I've had in years

Pros:
comfortable. Effective.
Best Uses:
Everyday.
Describe Yourself:
Baby boomer.

Planned use was to alleviate the average aches and pains of a 52 year old and I haven't slept as well since I was 18; however, it began forming to my body after about 10 days. Still comfortable, but not like the first few days.

Helps with pressure points, do not toss and turn as much and helps with keeping the body warmer as with cronic back pain the warmth feels great! No down side to this product, do recommend the 4 inch eggcrate, believe it will last longer.

Pros:
Lightweight.
Cons:
Unsturdy.
Best Uses:
Sleeping.

This is an excellent product and great to have on a stiff bed. However as is expected, the foam eventually forms to your shape and it loses some of the cushy firmness it once had. [$]*Get the thickest option, it's worth the extra money*

lightweight Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Easy Storage.
Cons:
Flimsy.
Best Uses:
Personal use.
Describe Yourself:
Person that uses eggcrate.

Having been in the medical field, I expected a firmer eggcrate. It is slightly too light.I understand cost issue and would like a more professional weight eggcrate to be available, a more dense foam. I feel more people would buy it, if it was of a more dense texture and would last longer.

meh. Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Lightweight. Safe.
Cons:
Uncomfortable.
Describe Yourself:
Bad back.

I had an egg crate in college that made my bed so amazingly comfortable; this did not achieve that. It only made the hard college bed I have been sleeping on this summer slightly more comfortable. Really not worth the money that I paid for it, because it just didn't do much.

This story will make you think... Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Lightweight. Sturdy. Safe.
Cons:
Bulky.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

The person I care for had a long hospitalization recently. The "skin nurse" at the rehab said this item was not necessary, even though a different hospital had practiced preventive care by putting this patient on an air mattress. He was complaining of being sore at pressure points and his skin was getting redder, so I purchased this, and marched it right into the rehab and put it on his bed. The complaints stopped, and he was so thankful to finally get a good night's sleep! I only wish that this came in a slightly thicker version, as I'm sure over time it would not be as soft and plump, but it was a godsend for the short time we needed it.
