Useful to treat/prevent dropfoot

Pros:
Lightweight. Easy To Use. Sturdy. Easy Storage. Comfortable.
Cons:
Bulky.
Best Uses:
Daily Use. Extra Support.
Describe Yourself:
55 years old.

As a quadriplegic, I sleep with this brace and use it to help guard against drop-foot. Since I can't move my legs or feet, it doesn't seem too bulky. But an able-bodied person probably wouldn't want to sleep with it.

Great help for post-stroke issues

Pros:
Safe. Lightweight. Comfortable. Easy To Use. Sturdy.
Cons:
Need help putting it on.
Best Uses:
Daily Use. Overnight.

My husband uses this product to help with plantar fasciitis and the foot drop that followed his stroke. It keeps his foot and ankle in position and lessens the stress on his calf muscles.

I would buy this product again.

Pros:
Lightweight. Stabilizes. Effective. Safe.
Cons:
difficult to fasten. difficult to unfasten.
Best Uses:
night healing.
Describe Yourself:
Athletic.

It works well to promote healing. It is difficult to fasten and unfasten when the fasteners are positioned on the outside (used on right foot). I can only use one hand to do the job. I almost cut them off and re-pop-riveted them to opposite sides, before learning the dexterity to do it one-handed. The ability to reverse sides would be helpful or provide right and left footed variants.

Not working for me! Verified Purchaser

Describe Yourself:
Average Health.

Although I found the splints to be comfortable enough to allow uninterrupted sleep, they do not work for me. The straps that are intended to hold your foot in place cannot be adjusted properly to allow your heel to stay in place. I wake up with my heel an inch or two from the splint base, so my foot is not flat. Keeping the foot flat is supposed to help stretch the muscle, which is not accomplished. Also, the splits come with strap clips on only one side making it extremely difficult to snap the straps on one of your feet. A left snap, and a right side snap would be a great improvement.

Answer:
I used it to correct Plantar Faciitis and to muse as a walking cast for a stress fratured bone in my foot. It worked extremely well for both problems Unfortunately, it broke where the straps connect to the sole. It is obviously not robust enough to use as a walking cast.

Answer:
I have dystonia that occurs during sleep - it makes my leg and foot muscles contract so that my foot painfully extends hard downward. Yes, this splint has helped me a lot. I had to play around with the straps, made the lower foot ones a little looser and the side ones that keep my foot upward, those I had to make tighter than I at first thought. Also, the side ones tend to loosen each night from my movement. I find it comfortable when I sleep, it doesn't keep me awake.
