AliMed FREEDOM Comfort Thumb Spica

FREEDOM Comfort Thumb Spica provides effective immobilization and support for the wrist and thumb. A wide, contoured palmar stay plus two dorsal stays provide extra protection and sturdy, rigid support. An inner lining of cloth-covered, open-cell foam is breathable and plush, ensuring patient comfort and increased compliance. The hook-and-loop closure provides easy application and optimal fit. This support is ideal for a number of indications, including post-cast healing, gamekeeper's thumb, soft tissue injuries, de Quervain's tendinitis, and some scaphoid injuries.

I was not as happy as i hoped when buying this product. I have a boney wrist, and the brace kept rubbing against my wrist joint. Not only that i have a short thumb and the elastic for the thumb spica kept rubbing a raw spot inbetween my thumb and index finger. The bad thing about this brace is that the supports are not sewn in therefore cauing the support to come out when you need it. I had to take time to sew them in and sew some foam pieces in it as pictured. This brace is ok if your wrist is not boney and you get the for sure exact size by measuring the circumference of your hand which i didnt know cause it didnt explain it well when buying.
