Gunslinger™ Shoulder Orthosis - Harness only. Until now, laborious custom fabrication was required to produce this kind of splint. Adjustability was limited and modifications in response to patient complaints were, at best, difficult and cumbersome.

The GunSlinger evolved from two years of development and trials at a major Boston teaching hospital. This orthosis can be quickly adjusted to any combination of abduction, flexion and rotation, each of which is independently adjustable.

Unique contralateral suspension is comfortable and secure. It resists displacement while allowing a broad range of independent patient activities. Wide-sculpted shoulder strap is comfortable for long-term wear.

The forearm and hand rest in a carefully contoured splint. Padded straps ensure comfort and compliance. 10" connecting post of PVC plastic. Cut to desired length.

Indications: Any condition of the shoulder girdle area requiring immobilization of the arm in a fixed relationship to the torso: shoulder fusion; bone graft; fractures; post-op soft tissue repairs; shoulder reconstruction; bracheal plexus injury.

How to order

Order the Torso/Shoulder Harness and the Shoulder Orthosis Arm Support (sold separately) to make a complete unit.

Sizing: Fitting is by trial and error. As a guide, Torso/Shoulder Harness is sized by body morphology. Tall or heavy users fit Large; average size users fit Medium. Arm Support is fit by arm length: Medium fits most women and small men; Large fits taller men.
