North Coast Hemi Shoulder Sling


The North Coast Hemi Sling shoulder and humeral supports are made of soft, perforated, suede-like material lined with cotton for added comfort. Firm, trilaminate foam material offers excellent pressure distribution at the waist. Unique waist belt design eliminates pressure on the uninvolved arm and maintains constant depression of the scapula and elevation of the humerus to reduce subluxation.

Ideal for rehabilitation of conditions such as CVA, post humeral fracture, brachial plexus injury and shoulder-girdle weakness/flaccidity. Trim for a custom fit. Sling can be donned and doffed independently and worn over or under clothing. D-ring straps on the humeral cuff ensure a proper fit. Waist strap measures 57" (145cm). Universal design fits either the left or right arm.

This sling definitely reduced my pain significantly after shoulder tightening surgery. It absolutely does what it says. Only drawbacks are that it tends to pull on the opposite underarm, making it slightly uncomfortable. Also, it would be easier to put on over clothing if the arm cuff were a wrap-around style, instead of one piece that you have to tug over your sleeve. Some might find it difficult to put on themselves (although I could). Overall though, very effective and a good value. If you have a loose shoulder, this should provide some relief.
