Product Overview

Drew Shoe Men's NAVIGATOR II Velcro® Oxford Shoe

The Drew® 44837 NAVIGATOR II Men’s Casual Shoe couldn’t be any easier to wear. A wide, one-piece Velcro® strap easily adjusts to any size foot. It’s ideal for anyone with limited hand mobility. This sleek designed easy-to-wear style is durable, great-looking and comfortable. It features Drew’s new Plus Fitting System® with two removable footbeds. Both inserts can be kept in the shoe for Added Depth, or the lower insert can be removed to create a shoe with Double the Added Depth. These inserts, Pre-molded Polyurethane and EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate) with Drilex® covering, equalize pressure over the foot’s full walking surface providing shock-absorption for maximum foot protection and comfort while reducing pain caused by pressure points and excess friction. Another great advantage is that the supplied inserts can be removed and replaced with Custom Orthotics. NAVIGATOR II features a Firm Heel Counter for maximum rear foot stability and support as well as reducing heel slippage. Drilex® linings wick away interior moisture and help prevent bacteria growth. A specially designed, flared, wide shank, lightweight polyurethane rocker bottom sole automatically “rocks” the foot forward during walking which increases mobility. A padded tongue and collar help hug the ankle and protect the forefoot thus making NAVIGATOR II a surprisingly comfortable shoe. Available in Black Pebble, Brown Pebble, and Clay Pebble colors.
The NAVIGATOR II shoe is best suited for:
  • A Broader Foot.
  • Pes Planus (Low Arches – Flat Foot).
  • Ankle Valgus (Roll in).
  • Ankle Varus (Roll out).
  • Plantar Fasciitis (Arch and/or Heel Pain).
  • Bunions/Hammertoes.
  • Diabetic or Arthritic Foot.
  • Prescribed or Custom Orthotics.
  • Active Person – Casual/Dress Wear.
  • Wide range of sizes and widths.
Shoes are made using a mold (LAST) that forms the internal shape of the shoe and dictates the most important fit qualities. Drew® uses 20 basic Last designs to accommodate specific foot shapes and conditions. Once you find a Last that works for your needs and comfort, you can choose other styles using that same Last and be assured of a similar fit. The chart of Lasts below can assist you in the selection of your shoe. The NAVIGATOR II shoe is built on a PEDIC 66 LAST which features:
  • Snug fitting heel with extra displacement in cuboid.
  • Wide shank area provides excellent lateral stability.
  • Can accommodate prescribed orthotics.
  • 6/8 heel height.
  • 75-degree ball angulation.
  • Additional overall capacity.
Everyone knows life is a pain when your feet hurt. Only a shoe from Drew® will help alleviate pain through an advanced comfort protection system engineered over the last 135 years. Drew® specializes in shoes for feet that require special care, or for anyone who just wants to rest their feet in layers of lightweight comfort. Drew® footwear is perfect for anyone who suffers from diabetes, arthritis, or years of foot neglect. Drew® shoes not only relieve foot pain, but they actually keep your whole body aligned, often alleviating nagging back pain. A sustaining member of PFA (Pedorthic Footwear Association) since 1968 and a history of producing specialty shoes for over 130 years is why so many people choose and physicians prescribe Drew® for the most comfortable shoe in the industry.Only Drew® offers the widest range of shoe sizes and widths in the industry, including hard-to-find narrows and extra-wides. The right footwear in the right size actually improves the way your body responds to daily stresses. When you wear the wrong size, the body constantly works to keep the foot properly positioned in the shoe--resulting in body fatigue. When you wear the correct shoe size, the foot remains properly seated in the footwear and the body is actually energized. It's what's inside that counts. Drew® is one of the few companies that use components such as Steel Shanks, Extended Heel Stabilizers, Plus Fitting System® insoles and Drilex® or leather linings. While you can't see these hidden features, your feet and body can feel the difference. Unlike the majority of footwear on the market today, Drew® carefully combines each component to improve the comfort, support and performance of your footwear. NAVIGATOR II Features:
  • Single Strap Velcro® Adjustable Closure.
  • Plus Fitting System® – 2 Removable Footbeds (Moldable, dual-density PU & EVA).
