Studies have confirmed the effectiveness of using night splints for treating plantar fasciitis. N’ice Stretch was designed to encourage patient compliance with a lightweight and comfortable night splint. Coupling passive stretch capability with cold therapy to reduce inflammation, N’ice Stretch provides an improved treatment protocol for patients. Low profile design folds compactly for transportability. Other features include Sealed Ice pack for cold therapy to reduce inflammation, toe lift for toe extension and additional stretch, mid-foot strap to improve stretch and secure heel in boot and adjustable bilateral straps to provide continuous stretching of soft tissue. Effective treatment for plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, plantar flexion contractures, and equinus or tight triceps surae. Other related products for treating heel pain include Heel Hugger, Heel Hugger with Magnets, Soft Stride Bone Spur Pads, and Polar Ice.

I've been using this night splint for several months for treatment of a heel spur. The night splint is comfortable, light weight and easy to pack in a suitcase. It does not squish my toes and I have been very pleased with it, EXCEPT - the Velcro on the middle strap across my ankle does not grab very well. It comes undone during the night which allows my foot to straighten out; preventing the stretching therapy I need for the ligament on the bottom of my foot. I wish it had a locking clip rather than Velcro.

These splints do a wonderful job of relieving the pain that comes to feet overnight. They are easy to use and adjust, though they do take up some space when not in use. The only real drawback is that the adhesive used to hold the velcro patches is not very good, and all the velcro needed to be stitched down. This was minor for me, but might be major for someone who doesn't sew.
