Stax Finger Splint
Stax Finger Splints help protect fingertips and nail beds during injuries. Made of perforated, translucent semi-hard plastic. Latex free. Supports the DIP joint in neutral position to help correct mallet deformity. Splint can be trimmed with heavy duty scissors for the most comfortable fit.

I have been looking for an appropriate finger splint for a couple of years and I could not find one until now. They were either too bulky, ugly or did not fit. The Stax finger splint from Allegro Medical is PERFECT. A couple of years ago,I banged my finger on a cash register drawer and the finger never healed as it got knocked against other equipment and desk edges all the time. WELL, the finger splint I orered is wonderful ... it's clean, it fits (size 2)and WORKS as the swelling is already going down. I'm happy, THANKS ALLEGRO.

It cured my mallet finger
Pros:
Easy To Use.

I stubbed my ring finger and got a droopy Mallet finger. I tried the finger braces from the major drug stores (foam & aluminum) but I could not wear them for 6 weeks. I wore this Stax brace for 6 weeks *religiously* and my finger is straight today.

used for ruptured tendon on middle finger. Underside of the splint should be longer; long enough to go past first joint.
When wet, it is difficult to have to take off and retape. Some sort of waterproof covering would be helpful'
It's smaller and easier to deal with than the homemake one given to me in rehab.

40-something adult.
I use this product to stabilize my thumb when it's injured due to hyper-extension (per the instruction of my orthopedic doctor). I tape it in place with 3M Micropore tape for a few weeks until it's healed. I like that it allows for more freedom/thumb use than any other type of splint. Would have given it 5 stars but thought the rough edges could be sanded down smoother. Fortunately, I can easily remove the edges with a nail file.

I'm missing my golf game. Will this splint allow me to use my hand better for golfing -- not scratching adjoining fingers like a flat splint worn on the inside of the finger?
