Stax Finger Splint

Pros:
Promotes Healing. Effective. Easy To Use. Safe.
Best Uses:
Long Term Use. Emergency Preparedness. Quick Fix.
Describe Yourself:
Works with hands all day.

I have been looking for an appropriate finger splint for a couple of years and I could not find one until now. They were either too bulky, ugly or did not fit. The Stax finger splint from Allegro Medical is PERFECT. A couple of years ago,I banged my finger on a cash register drawer and the finger never healed as it got knocked against other equipment and desk edges all the time. WELL, the finger splint I orered is wonderful ... it's clean, it fits (size 2)and WORKS as the swelling is already going down. I'm happy, THANKS ALLEGRO.

Digit is less painful now. Less obvious to wear. Promotes Healing. Effective. Easy To Use. Simple to dry if wet. Safe.
Best Uses:
Long Term Use.
Describe Yourself:
Parent.

So happy to find attractive and less obvious protection for broken digit that has to be in a brace . Also I can work with my hands with the same dexterity as I can without it . Really satisfied, thanks very much,

It cured my mallet finger

Pros:
Easy To Use. Effective. Promotes Healing.
Describe Yourself:
Novice First Aid Skills.

I stubbed my ring finger and got a droopy Mallet finger. I tried the finger braces from the major drug stores (foam & aluminum) but I could not wear them for 6 weeks. I wore this Stax brace for 6 weeks *religiously* and my finger is straight today.

Pros:
Easy to wash and wear.
Cons:
Gio oast the first joint. Underside of the splint s. Should be long enough to.

used for ruptured tendon on middle finger. Underside of the splint should be longer; long enough to go past first joint. When wet, it is difficult to have to take off and retape. Some sort of waterproof covering would be helpful' It's smaller and easier to deal with than the homemake one given to me in rehab.

Comfortable and works well Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Effective. Easy To Use. Promotes Healing.
Best Uses:
Emergency Preparedness.
Describe Yourself:
40-something adult.

I use this product to stabilize my thumb when it's injured due to hyper-extension (per the instruction of my orthopedic doctor). I tape it in place with 3M Micropore tape for a few weeks until it's healed. I like that it allows for more freedom/thumb use than any other type of splint. Would have given it 5 stars but thought the rough edges could be sanded down smoother. Fortunately, I can easily remove the edges with a nail file.

Answer:
The only sure way to size is using the Finger Sizers (actual Staxx splints) to determine best fit . They are used mostly by hand therapists. Otherwise it is all guess work.

Question:
I have a mallet injury on one of my ring fingers. I'm thinking about #2. How long is this splint? I'm missing my golf game. Will this splint allow me to use my hand better for golfing -- not scratching adjoining fingers like a flat splint worn on the inside of the finger?
