The TheraBoot ShortBack Orthotic System prevents or treats lower extremity disorders associated with immobility and trauma, including:

  • Foot drop
  • Adduction/scissoring
  • Knee flexion
  • Postoperative hip abduction
  • Hip rotation
  • Pressure necrosis

The TheraBoot ShortBack Orthotic System is a lightweight, high-quality plastic splint and fleece liner align the lower extremity correctly while relieving pressure. For right or left foot, single or bilateral use. Two-piece washable liner allows comfortable, custom fit. Includes instructions and laundry bag. Adjustable toe protector and rotation stabilizer bar. Not recommended for weight-bearing use.

This product have multi purpose for recovering patients as well as those who are confinded to their bed for a long time. It can be use as footdrop or a splint and also those who on therapy learning to walk. The only thing that are not so great is the lack of instructions to caregivers on how to use it to their patients.

Not good for somebody who is a paraplegic and does not feel anything on that foot. Almost develop a bruise on the ankle resting on the hard material. The black splint works well for the sole of the foot,but I still prefer the bulky,but smooth material of the old fashioned boot for foot drop.
