The film it leaves on the skin lasts long enough for me to wear the ostomy barrier and my bandages up to a week. It protects the skin from reactions to adheasive and leakage well. However, sometimes I miss a spot and my skin breaks down in a day or two. That area will BURN and STING because I change the barrier or medical tape and apply a new layer of protective film.

Great product!
Pros:

My son is recovering from a deep surgical wound. Preparing the skin with AllKare Protective Barrier before applying the adhesive bandage prevents discomfort during bandage removal and prevents skin irritation from the adhesive.

I use this product regularly
Pros:
Easy Storage.
Lightweight.
I actually use around the rim and on the backside (not the part that goes against the skin) of karaya ring to make karaya last longer.
While I now mostly use non-sting barrier, if I need appliance to stick better (because of weeping skin, etc.), I'll use the allcare wipe over the layer of non-sting barrier.

 what is the alcohol content? Using a different brand now, but is so drying d/t 61% alcohol it can only be used 1x q day, need to use it 2xqd, but a rash developed when used 2xqd. thank you
