ConvaTec has redesigned the Stomahesive Paste for greater customer ease of use. This is the same Stomahesive Paste that you have come to depend on as a protective skin barrier, caulk and filler, but now in a new easy-to-use silver tube. The Stomahesive Paste is a hyrocolloid-based protective skin barrier. Use as a filler in uneven skin surfaces to help increase ostomy system wear-time and protect skin.


Here is what you will find inside the carton:

  • Same Stomahesive Paste formulation, there was no change to the paste itself
  • Sturdy Tube Casing… easy to compress and will hold its shape better
  • Longer Nozzle… allows for more precise beading
  • Silver Tube and Blue Cap… colored cap is easy to locate after application

I've been using this paste for two years...Although they say the tube is all that has changed....the formula seems to have changed for the better. Maybe it's just the tube...but it works great.

squeeze paste on strip of clean toilet paper; for best results, if possible, let set for 30 minutes (but can also use right away), wrap around base of stoma, apply ostomy pouch.

The old adheasive worked wonderful for 3.5 years--the new tube leakes, too soft, does not hold. If it was the same as the old--it would not break down. Some compound in the mixture has been changed--removed or replaced. We must try to find another adhesive.
