Detachol Adhesive Remover - 4 oz bottle
Detachol Adhesive Remover is a gentle, non-irritating, adhesive remover used to remove dressings, wound closure strips, tapes, tubes, and, of course, Mastisol® Liquid Adhesive. Detachol® works well around the face since the pleasant fragrance will not irritate the eyes or nose.
Detachol® does not contain acetone, benzene, chloroform, or ether.

I am a pediatric physical therapist. I use this stuff to remove athletic tape from very young children. It is a remarkably effective, gentle, and very low fume product that melts adhesive relatively quickly and painlessly. It works beautifully to take off tape residue as well. I use kinesiotape in my practice to assist with musculoskeletal re-education and strengthening, and this stuff works great for removing the tape. I have used other adhesive removal products in the past, but none have been as effective or as gentle. I like this product because it also doesn't seem to have the solvent properties of other adhesive removal products, so I don't worry so much about whether the adhesive is crossing cell membranes as with other products.
