As always, just what I needed
Hy-Tape is the best waterproof tape for my ostomy needs. Over the 23 years of using waterproof tape I have found that no other tape even comes close to Hy-Tape for ease of use and being truly waterproof.

I use this to seal the wafer of my colosotmy. I can shower for days and the tape will protect the wafer edges allowing you to wear it longer.

THE BEST

My skin is VERY thin and I have trouble tearing skin off when removing tape. This tape sticks, stays when showering, BUT comes off easily when you want to remove it. There really is NO substitute...I've tried dozens of other tapes.
Allegro Medical is the place I was able to find this tape (no Walmart,Walgreens, CVS) and their service was excellent!

I can tell you that my wife is a VA patient and they provide us with the 1-1/2" width. We have to buy the 1/2" if we want to use that.

typically Hy Tape is covered by insurance but it depends on whether the plan's medical supply provider carries it. In my case I purchase Hy Tape out of pocket as it is vastly superior to the look-alike product my provider utilizes. There are a limited number of suppliers who carry the original Hy Tape Allegro being one of them. Having used Allegro Medical for other things, your price is almost invariably the best.

Not by my insurance but was not that expensive. Wanted something that would work with an ostomy bag to allow the person to swim again. It was GREAT

Hy-tape is not covered by insurance. Neither medicare or my insurance which is anthem blue cross.
