I use this product to protect the skin where I apply paper tape. I use drain sponge and keep it in place with paper tape. And the constant use of it, scar the skin. The Skin Barrier Film by 3M is non irritant to skin.

Pros:
Safe. Easy Storage. Lightweight. Sturdy.
Drys faster than the cream form, causes the adheasive tape to become very sticky. Prevents adheasive tape from causing a rash but does not prevent the itching from the tape allergy.

Excellent product. An absolute must to prevent maceration of tissue (and bad odor) surrounding wound on a wound vac. I have also used this product in the hospital on incontinent patients.

I use this produce daily in combination with other wound care supplies and 3M metapore tape. Helps the tape adhere very well for long periods of time as opposed to not using and it also protects the skin from the tape.Very pricey
