  • Forms protective film
  • Great for sensitive areas
  • Minimizes irritation and stinging

Product Overview

Smith & Nephew No-Sting Skin Prep Wipes

No-Sting Skin Prep Wipes

No-Sting Skin Prep has liquid in the wipes that forms a protective film to prepare skin for drainage tubes, external catheters, surrounding ostomy sites, tapes, and other adhesives. The non-alcohol formula minimizes stinging and irritation. No-Sting Skin Prep™ can be used in sensitive places, such as stoma areas, to protect skin and may reduce irritation from contact with body wastes and fluid. This product may be used to protect intact and damaged skin.

No-Sting Skin Prep™ is easily cleaned using skin cleanser or soap and water, so unsanitary residue is not left in or around the wound. Only one coat is needed to form a protective film due to the thick formula, making application more comfortable. No-Sting Skin Prep™ is easy to apply on all areas and won't crack or peel.

Precautions: For external use only; avoid contact with eyes. In the case of accidental contact, flush eyes well with water. Do not apply directly to open wounds or in deep puncture wounds. Should redness or other signs of irritation appear, discontinue use. Keep out of the reach of children.

No sting skin prep Verified Purchaser

This is a great product to protect skin under ostomy devices. I used it to help heal an open area on my skin and there really is no sting to this product. Very little residue and what there was removed easily with soap and water.

""Not worth the money" Verified Purchaser

Doesn't sting.
Little or no adhesive. MISLEADING. Does not hold up.
Describe Yourself:
Average Health.

The only thing great about this product is that it did not sting upon application.I have always been happy with products that I have ordered until I came across this one. Upon reading the insert in the box, it was then that I became aware that the product only held up for 24-48 hours, which was very disappointing. If this was mentioned when I read about the product on line, I never would have ordered it and saved myself some money, instead of having them sit on the shelf and of no use.

Works better than than others we tried Verified Purchaser

Safe. Easy Storage. Lightweight.
Describe Yourself:

I use it when the skin is raw around the stoma to keep the burning down when I change the wafer. It is a little thicker than the regular skin prep, and this causes the stomahesive powder to stick to the pad instead of desolving in the liquid like regular prep. So I just use it when there is an inflammed area and just as a base coat. It is also about three times the price of the regular skin prep.

This was used on my infant grandson's face before placing tape to hold his oxygen on and it made his face look as though it had been burned. It only did this to one side of his face. Why did it do this?
