Secura Cream - Extra Protective
Secura Cream is a skin protectant that helps treat and prevent rash associated with diaper use or continued exposure to feces, urine or both. Protects skin from minor irritation associated with diaper dermatitis and exposure to feces and urine and helps seal out wetness.
- Contains 30% zinc oxide
- Can be used on denuded skin
- Provides a high level of protection for patients with severe incontinence
- Will not wash away after repeated exposure to urine and feces
- Contains karaya to absorb moisture and adhere to seepy, macerated skin
- Contains vitamin E to provide a soothing sensation
- Non-sensitizing

The patient I currently care for (91 yr. old female) sustained the beginnings of a pressure sore on her hip, which included broken skin. I immediately began using this cream several times daily, and within 2 weeks, the area was healthy and clear of any skin breakdown. I also use this on her sacral area (tailbone) to help prevent the development of pressure sores. It not only aids in the healing process, but acts as a moisture barrier while doing so. Great for patients with incontinence issues.
