Question:
Enter in my browser "Benadryl for puppies" (upon the advice of my Vet) but I do not understand how much to give to 7 week old puppies weighing about 3 pounds with really bad rashes so the itching will subside. Does any one have any advice.

Answer:
The dose of Benedryl (Diphenhydramine) for ADULT dogs is 1 milligram per pound of body weight BUT that may not be appropriate for puppies. Your vet should know and tell you what dose to use. Be careful to only use plain Benedryl NOT the kind that also has decongestant in it. Good luck!
