Allegro Medical announces the NEW Travel Lifter TVL-601 - On-the-Go Lightweight, Foldable, Portable, Pivoting Lifter.

Specifically designed for travel and use away from home, the Travel Lifter Model TVL-601 folds flat for easy storage or transport. The Travel Lifter features a lifting technique and geometry similar to all EasyPivots™. It has a rigid frame consisting of two "hoops...a base hoop and a vertical hoop that connects to the base hoop. This allows the TVL-601 to collapse into itself for traveling purposes.

Setup takes only minutes and no tools are needed. Once set up for pivot lifting, the machine is remarkably maneuverable. Most of the user's weight is directly over the two center-mounted wheels – so the Travel Lifter easily turns in its own length. Rear stabilizer casters are specially positioned and legs telescope to enable it to easily fit under even the lowest of hotel beds. Not only is the Travel Lifter compact, it is lightweight as well - 48 pounds stand alone and 54 pounds with its own travel bag and cart (included).

This tough little lifter will handle persons up to 5' 3" to 5’ 10” weighing up to 250 pounds as well as persons 5’ 10” to 6’ 2” weighing up to 220 pounds (two column risers are included for user setup).

The Travel Lifter is somewhat custom made to user size. You will need the following information when you call us to place your order:

• Bottom of heel to crease in back of knee length of Patient
• Outer width dimensions of Patient's wheelchair (front caster wheels) or front leg width of upholstered chair or other object most commonly used for transfers

In 1973, an automobile accident left mechanical engineer Joel Lerich a quadriplegic. After months of rehabilitation Joel mastered most daily tasks. One task, however, proved to be a menacing obstacle: transferring from place to place. Joel never felt quite safe or stable in a traditional sling lift or on a sliding board. He also became concerned about the long term effects of lifting on his wife's health.

There had to be a better way.
Drawing on his mechanical engineering experience, Joel found that better way and the EasyPivot™ lift was born: a streamlined machine for safe efficient transfers that contributes to the health of both the patient and caregiver.

Health & Safety
