The Lopez Enteral Valve offers an increased level of protection for healthcare professionals during enteral feeding and lavage. The Lopez Valve is a stopcock-like device, which allows the health care worker to access enteral systems without breaking open the lines. It prevents the accidental exposure of health care workers’ mucous membranes (eye/mouth) from exposure to bodily fluids that may carry blood borne pathogens such as HIV and Hepatitis C. It also saves nurses time.

I take care of my Mom who is on a continuous feed. It is good to have a couple of these so that you can swap the one you are using and clean it. I swap the valve every two days so that I can keep the valve clean to prevent clogging.

Great help

We inserted it in the end of my husband's feeding tube and it fit snug and perfect due to the cone shaped insert. It gives much more control being able to shut it off securely. Very secure.
