I have a Medi-tech APDL/14 Flexima feeding tube in and need a connector to hook to feeding pump. Will the size 14 fit the end of tube?

My mother's button tube dislodged today. ER replaced with standard tube. Can we connect y port connector for continuous feeding? Each time my mother has to get unhooked to go into bathroom the new tube backs up when my father disconnects it unless he crimps it. Will this happen with this connector on it?
