Mabis DMI Back Pain Relief System with Tens Belt Technology

Back Pain Relief System with Tens Belt Technology

Deep Tissue Pain Relief for Sore and Aching Muscles.

The TENS belt is a passive, noninvasive treatment for acute and chronic pain. All electrode wires are conveniently contained in a soft, comfortable belt for ease of use. Used properly this TENS belt can provide pain relief last for several hours. TENS treatment can be combined with other therapy, such as exercise, to achieve optimum health benefits.

Transcutaneous (through the skin) Electrical Nerve Stimulation sends mild electrical impulses to the muscles in the lower back needing treatment, causing the targeted muscles to exercise passively. This pocket-sized, portable and battery-operated monitor delivers pulses intermittently and may stimulate the body’s production of endorphins (natural pain killers released by the brain).

TENS is widely used in hospitals and sports clinics for the treatment of muscular injuries and to improve muscle tone and blood circulation. TENS belt should only be used under the direction of a doctor or physical therapist.

The Back Pain Relief System Features:

  • All in one electrode belt, electrode pads and monitor
  • Dual-Channel TENS System with eight pre-programmed pulse programs and adjustable intensity level
  • Adjustable Belt Fits up to 41” Waist; extender adds an extra 8”
  • Includes: Storage Bag, 2 AAA Batteries, Detailed Guidebook in English and Spanish, and 3-Year Limited Warranty

Cons:

Best Uses:

The one difficulty with the belt is that it is a bit too wide for smaller waists. Also, the pads tend to shift and not keep the connection.

Describe Yourself:
Budget Buyer.

Ok, this was my first tens unit. Don't make the same mistake I did! I was in such a hurry to get the thing on that I didn't realize I was supposed to attach electrode covers to the contact pads on the belt. Give it a try if you're missing the sensation of being stuck with a cattle prod. Also, I thought the battery died right away and replaced it, only to realize that after the unit completes its cycle you have to turn the dials to the "off" position and then back on again... Otherwise, I've been really happy with it. In fact I would recommend purchasing an extra set of electrode covers or 2. They loose their adhesion after about 15 to 20 uses and it's not as effective. I just ordered more.. Also, get the heating pad and biofreeze to round out the treatment options. r a few months I finally broke down and bought some products to help get me relieg. I purchased this item, a thermophore heating pad and some biofreeze.
