Product Overview

Dry Pro Full-Leg Prosthesis Cover

Dry Pro Leg Prostheses Protector

If you have a leg prosthesis, you know you can’t get into the water or get it wet.

That has now changed!

The DryPro Leg Prosthesis Protector is the only prosthesis protector with the patented watertight vacuum seal. The Dry Pro fits snug yet comfortable during a shower, a bath and even an active swim. Unlike "modified garbage bag" products, our patented vacuum sealed product cannot come off, you can't even pull it off in the deflated state! The Dry Pro prostheses cover is made of durable high quality surgical latex and carries a one year guarantee. Jump in the pool! Play in the waves at the beach! Shower or bathe repeatedly with ease!

Features and Benefits of the Dry Pro prosthesis protector:

  • The DryPro offers prostheses wearers an alternative to removing prosthesis during water activities.
  • The DryPro is easy to use. Slide the Dry Pro™ up over the leg prosthesis. Pump the air out by squeezing the built in pump until the bulb is flattened. Remove the bulb and quickly cap the stem. The patient can now go swimming, bathe, shower or receive hydrotherapy while wearing the sleeve.
  • You can even dive off a diving board or ride the ocean waves. The protector cannot slip off! In fact it can’t even be pulled off when in the deflated state.
  • The Dry Pro™ is made of thick surgical latex that can stretch up to 600 percent without tearing. This durable product is comfortable and flexible and also features a Non-Skid Grid on the sole of the leg protector to prevent slipping.
  • Dry Pro™, with the patented vacuum seal and Non-Skid Grid, offers the safest and most effective product on the market. Other cover products do not offer the same waterproof guarantee as the DryPro™.
  • The DryPro™ is available in a variety of sizes designed to fit most people.
  • The product is economical and priced comparably to other less durable products on the market.
  • Repeated leak-proof testing proves the reliability of the Dry Pro™ as the only truly waterproof protector. When applying the Dry Pro™, the built-in pump flattens to indicate that the seal is intact and will not leak.
  • The Dry Pro™ also offers waterproof products for cast or wound care protection.
  • The Dry Pro™ carries a one year guarantee.
  • The Dry Pro™ line contains LATEX. Anyone with latex allergies should not use this product.

I have used it five or six times for swimming. In this short time it has already begun to allow some seepage. You have to cut it to length and that affects the tightness on the thigh. Your fit may be better depends on the taper of your upper leg. I have not seen any real alternatives available.

I have used this product for many years, and I have never had a complaint. The only reason I had to order a second one is when the company redesigned the cover specifically for prosthetic wear. And now the 3rd time do to leaving at the hospital sleep clinic. Drats! I highly recommend this product, regardless of your level(s) of amputation.

Question:
Can this be worn over my cosmetic cover which is over my prosthetic leg? The cover can not get wet! Your recommended time to wear this is 45 minutes. Why? What would happen if it is worn longer like 2 hours?

Question:
The socket for my prosthetic extends well above my knee and the neoprene liner extends up to mid thigh. I am 6'4" tall. Is the product long enough to accomodate my needs? Approx 30 inchesto the top of the liner. Also the circumference of the prosthetic socket is approx 22" which is the same as my thigh above the neoprene liner. Again, will that work.
