I use this cushion everyday in my car and I am very pleased with it. The cover on my previous cushion wore out and the foam lost shape and rigidity (after about 5 years of use). I like that the cushion stays in position when I get in and out of the vehicle. I have not found the strap to be very useful (too stretched out) and I'm considering cutting it off.

Question:
I shattered a vertebra, L1, a number of years ago and since then have been unable to lie in bed on my back without significant lumbar pain. Could this be used as a support to lie on while in bed, as well as a regular lumbar support when seated?
