I have tried to use this pillow at night when going to sleep. The pillow slips down to my ankles, does not give any support, and does not help with the pain at all.

Pregnant with Bursitis.
I am 6 months pregant and suffering from Bursitis in both hips. This pillow is not on great for my bursitis but I have found that it eliminates the many pillows I tend to use when I get further along in my pregnancy. I sleep better and I don't feel nearly as stiff from my Bursits as I usually do. The thing I love most about this pillow is that because it attaches to my leg when I roll over I don't have to get redjusted becuase the pillow simply goes along with me - it's great!

For a smaller person, it fits very nicely. The larger ones make me feel as if my legs are then too far apart. The contour isn't as nice but still fits nicely. The cover is made very cheaply, however.

I use this knee pillow to keep my mother's knees from constantly pressing together. She has Alzheimer's and one knee is trying to contract. This pillow is soft and not too big. It has two long Velcro straps to go around the knee to keep it from slipping. Because it is soft and comfortable, she does not fight it and try to push it away as she has other knee pillows I have tried. For more severe contractions, you might need something firmer; but for early stage, this is a perfect pillow for the job in young or adult.
