After foot and ankle surgery, Dr placed a large soft splint. Regular size ring did not fit, so had to return for Adult Short Leg Large size, which fit great. Large size still worked great after I was changed to regular size cast. Worked GREAT at first - no leaks. But used it a total of 4 times, then the vinyl seal came out of the plastic ring. Only 2 rivets hold in the vinyl seal and leg sleeve, and allows the seal to come apart from the ring when stretched during application over cast. This is a poor design, especially on the large size ring. I'm a Surgery/ER Nurse used to applying medical equipment for over 20yrs. This item works great when it holds together.

They keep the wound or cast dry but after a few months of use they need to be cleaned-disinfected and that was not easy.
