Thermotex is a convenient, portable infrared heating pad that you can use at home, in the office, while driving or on vacation to provide effective temporary pain relief wherever and whenever you need it.

The Thermotex Heating Pad is a deep heat therapy system used to increase circulation and promote increased blood flow. The pad produces infrared heat to provide deep penetrating warmth for temporary relief of acute and chronic pain resulting from inflammation of the joints, tendons and tissues associated with arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, tennis elbow, etc.

The ultimate in effectiveness and comfort, the Thermotex Platinum Heating Pad has three individual, flexible panels joined together as one unit. Its adjustable straps enable you to fit the Platinum comfortably almost anywhere on the body, and its flexibility allows better isolation of the affected area.

What does Infrared do?

Infrared energy radiates from one side of the pad (not the padded side). The Thermotex Pain Relief System uses a four-position switch (off-low-high-off). You will start your treatment on the high setting for the first 15 minutes. If it is too warm, you can put a towel between your body and the Thermotex pad. The infrared heat penetrations will still be effective. All prolonged use must be on the low setting.

Through the absorption of infrared thermal energy, tissues are safely and gently heated increasing blood flow within the treated area. Your body’s natural response to this increased temperature is to try to maintain a condition of homeostasis — a balanced environment or state of equilibrium throughout the body. To do this, your body responds with a rapid increase in blood flow to the area. Thermotex Heating Pads are a natural approach to effective pain relief.

Thermotex infrared operates at temperatures of between 40°C - 45°C, versus heating pads that are often in excess of 55°C. Our products will not burn or dehydrate the skin.

Pain medication therapy

Most pain medications simply disrupt the body's pain signals to the brain, masking the body's ability to recognize pain, rather than removing the source or cause of that pain. The effectiveness of Thermotex in reducing and controlling your pain will in most cases allow you to reduce your pain medication intake. Thermotex provides effective, non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief with no side effects.

Thermography is used to measure the radiation of heat. In the following pictures you will see that the initial state of the injured area in each case is showing colder than the surrounding tissue. This is accounted for by the lack of blood flow in that injured area. As the injury is treated and the pain relieved by increasing blood flow, the temperature of the injured area returns to normal.
