I work 12 hour shifts at a desk and this device has really made a difference! I suffered from tail bone pain, but now I can sit for hours without any pain! I highly suggest for anyone with lower back pain. The only con is that the carry handle is attached by velcro and it easily comes off when you pull on it.

Wanted to use it in the car to negate the big scoop design of bucket seats that drop your rump too deep and push on the sides of your thighs and stretch the low back. But it was much too firm and uncomfortable for the 2 to 3 hour trips we often take. It also was a little too wide.

If you are under 200 pounds in weight, get the standard density cushion. The extra strength density is too stiff and doesn't give and is not comfortable for regular weight person.

After breaking my tailbone 2 years ago, it did not heal properly, making sitting in ANY kind of seat - padded or unpadded a total painful nightmare. This seat cushion resolved that issue immediately! I've had it for 2 years now and recommended it to my Ortho Doc, who has in turn recommended it to other patients in my situation. It takes the pressure off the tailbone exactly where it is needed most, it is very durable, the cover is easy to wash, and it's extremely comfortable. I have a disc problem in my lower back and I could hardly sit before I got these cushions. It really limited me socially, I couldn't sit in Church movies, etc. I was in so much pain. I was laying down all the time. Now I can sit and do the computer, go to church, meetings, and get out in the world again. Also long drives. I am getting so much more done. I used to stand up to eat my meals at the counter, now I can sit down to eat three meals a day. I liked the first cushion so much I quickly ordered a second to leave in the car. I've been a Pilonidal Cyst Patient for for 45+ years. after 6 surgeries(last 25 yrs ago) Donuts are joke no relief, they just push dressings farther in increasing the pain. I bought the firm model, which is necessary to retain the support, but that means it is never comfortable. It should be made with a soft layer on top of the firm layer.

Musicians in our symphony orchestra use this type of seat cushon because it is easy to carry around and for the thin folks like me it prevents uncomfortable pressure on the tail bone during long hours of sitting in one position.

I haven't had any tailbone/bottom "bruising" sensitivities since using this cushion. It also helps lower back pain. The memory foam material is the key. No other foam cushion can compare. My mother and sister also use this cushion. We each own two; the smaller one for the car and the larger (18") for the home. Just beware that the larger cushion's "hole" is also bigger than it's smaller version and I had to tack the strap tighter so that I wouldn't "fall through". But once done it's perfect.

I needed this type of pillow because I was sitting A LOT nursing twins. I am under 200 lbs, 160 to be exact and I think this pillow says somewhere for people over 200 or 250. I paid more attention to the fact that it was a firmer foam compared to the smaller one but in the end it was just too big. I did like that it was firm. I wish the smaller one was made out of the firmer foam. I had bought the round "donut" and it just collapsed and was worthless, I would not recommend that one.

I was worried when I opened the box that I ordered one that was to firm. I used it that weekend for a motorcycle trip and I was not at all sore. I fractured my tailbone during childbirth and four months later am still in considerable pain. The cushion does alleviate pressure while sitting, which is exactly what I needed. It does not alleviate all the pain while sitting on hard surfaces but I do think that it helps somewhat. The only thing is that I can't for the life of me figure out why the handle is velcroed on one side. It never stays attached, so instead of having a handle, you have a long 'tail' that you have to hold on to while trying to carry it. Not so great while trying to juggle diaper bags, 2 kids, a purse, etc.

I fractured my tail bone almost two years ago and have been in pain ever since. I've been in therapy for about three months and have experienced some minor improvement. I tried this pillow and noticed immediate relief. The pillow provides support where it needs to. The whole tailbone area is left floating so there's no pressure on it. After suffering from chronic tailbone pain for about a year I got this wonderful cushion for my office. What a world of difference! This is TRUE memory foam, not the cheap fake stuff. It really does mold to your body and offers great support. Works well in my car too (subaru's have very hard seats) The only downside is that being true memory foam is is heat sensitive, so if you leave it in a cold car (even 50 F) it will get hard as a brick until it warms up again :)

I went in search of this particular type of cushion, because A) My doctor recommended this type of cushion and B) I sit behind a desk all day long and by the end of the day my tailbone and lower back hurt so bad, that I just want to go home, lay on a heating pad, take some medication and not get up till the next morning. Unfortunately that is not an option for me, as I am a mother of 2 girls (1 year old and 3 year old) and a caregiver to my husband who is disabled. I am not to sure of this product. I was convinced this was the product to end my pain and suffering to lower back and tailbone problems. Since purchasing, receiving and using the cushion, I find that I am still very much uncomfortable just as I was before purchasing this product. The cushion doesn't hold up, so while I sit on it, it seems as though it flattens to the chair, so I'm sitting on my tailbone again. I only weigh 109 lbs. If it won't hold up to my weight, then I feel extreme sympathy for anyone who weighs more than me. I suppose the good things I can say about this product is that it has a convenient handle and it's transferable. I guess I am back to searching for alternative pain relief.

Received an injury to my tailbone from a fall several years ago. I'm 40yrs old, 165lbs and do prperty management and construction. Tried the rubber "doughnut" and found it too small and uncomfortable. Purchased this pillow to help alleviate some of the discomfort felt when sitting mostly while driving. It's well-constructed, has a zippered, removeable cover and built-in carry handle. Memory foam is enclosed in a netted material to help protect it. Has 3yr warranty. Have used it now for approx 2 months. It seems to help symptoms, however the foam compresses too far in my opinion and would probably be useless for heavier folks. Purchased one for my wife (who weighs 100lbs) and she raves about it. I would recommend this product for some but it's not for everyone.

I've tried about 5 cushions since I came to the US and this is the best. I like the way it supports my weight (184) with the smaller-sized cushion, and lifts my tailbone off the chair. it's not pain free but it's the best cushion I have for now.

This cushion may be made of memory foam, but it supports my weight decently. I'd recommend the smaller one for travel and the larger one for office/home use. if you're 175 pounds or over I'd definitely recommend the larger size.

I use this product in our vehicles and when I ride my Rascal Scooter. Before I got them I could hardly walk and it was very painful if I sit for any length of time. Now I can travel to see my grandkids(its a 5 hour drive) and be able to get out of the car upon arrival.

I have a chipped coccyx and need something to relieve the pressure. The design of this cushion is good, except it's a little to long for my upper legs. Also it unfortunately is too soft, needs to be firmer so that the cushion can actually support one's weight and be comfortable at the same time. This cushion helps a little but doesn't quite do the job. The slant doesn't really make a difference because of the softness, it all feels the same thickness.

This cushion saved my career. I was seriously considering a medical retirement due to my on-the-job injury. My job requires me to sit most of the day rocking back and forth on my tailbone while delivering mail to my patrons. The pain was unbearable some days. I bought 2 of the cushions (1 for home, 1 for work) and have been steadily recovering from my injury. I am so grateful that I found this cushion before desperately giving up on getting well.

This cushion works great on hard wooden chairs. It doesn't feel as comfortable on padded seats that curve up on the sides.

The smaller cushion size fits many chairs and the memory foam provides excellent cushioning to ease pressure on the tailbone. I wish I had bought two so I didn't have to carry it around so much.

Car and desk - sometimes dinner table - have taken to the moview. This is all temporary due to a fall, but since the pillow arrived, I seem to be healing quicker and having much less discomfort.

I have arthritis (in my tailbone/coccyx...making sitting quite a "pain in the..."
At the home of another person, I sat on their memory foam, "therapeutic seat cushion" and found it made sitting more comfortable. It had been purchased from Brookstone. I quickly bought one. I use it at home, while seated at the computer. It has been okay but it's quite soft and doesn't keep the tailbone lifted for any length of time. I needed something firmer, as I sit ALL DAY at work for 8 or 9 hours. This Coccyx Cushion just arrived and it IS firmer. Lifts the BACK end enough so that I'm forced to lean forward a little. I'm bringing it to work with me on Monday!

This one cushion has given me the first good nights of rest in years, I would'nt give it back for all the money in the world. In fact, if they made one that I could sit on that went from my feet up to my neck with that coccyx area cut out I'd probably have my pain cut in half or more. I have cronic lukemia & lupas, most of my spine is completly destroyed, I've had over 40 reconstructive surgeries & no relief until this one cushion. I can tell right away if I hav'nt sat on it correctly because there is pain, all I have to do is reposition myself until the tailbone pain is gone & then I know I'm in the right spot. Thank you so much for creating this product. You've changed my life. I could hug whoever came up with it.. anyone who lives in constant cronic pain will understand when I say that 'any' pain relief is huge.. well, if your tailbone is a large part of your pain.. get ready to loose that pain. I hope everyone tries this, I'm planning on buying one for everyone in my family who's dissabled, bed-ridden, or lives with cronic back or coccyx pain for christmas. Actually.. scratch that, because they will be getting christmas in July.. why would I let them suffer for another 6 months? I cant wait to go to my daughter's track meet (finally) & be able to actually make it through more than a half an hour. I'd better stop here because I could go on forever about this cushion.. in all seriousness though.. BUY ONE, you wont be dissapointed with the product in anyway..

This product will indeed help relieve stress on your tail bone, particularly i you have a job where you sit all day. However it is NOT made for anyone of a larger size. It is too small for the seat of my office chair and cuts off my circulation at the mid thigh because it is too short in depth. I am a size 16 / 18 and weight about 190 to 210 depending on the time of the month. So I would NOT suggest this if you are at all of a fully size, it will not be big enough.

Great product but could be thicker to provide support on softer chairs that have a tendency to shink to the point of taking away some of the support.

This cushion is too soft and it compresses so much when you sit on it, your coccyx presses against the chair just as much when you use it as when you don't. And I don't weight all that much.

Purchased this for my pregnant wife to use when driving. Density of the unit (I ordered the large version) if exactly what I wanted- does not compress all the wall down but yet is comfortable enough to sit on for long periods. I'd recommend the large version for driving, since it's just wide enough to cover most of the seat.

If you are burdened with a coccyx injury, this cushion will save the day. I have had to use one for almost 10 years now after having my coccyx removed, and this one, by far, is the best. Go memory foam!

I have a pillow made from this foam, so I know it takes a minute or two for it to mold to your body. However, in this case it never seems to soften up. Feels very stiff to me. I was looking for not only tail bone relief (which it does well), but something that felt like I was sitting on a soft pillowy cloud to take the pressure off my entire rear end...which it definitely does NOT! My husband absolutely LOVES it and uses in the car everyday, so it certainly hasn't been a waste of money. He gives it 5 stars.

i use this product everywhere byt recommendation of my physician. It is comfortable and I particularly like the fact that enables better posture. It may be nice though if it came in two sizes as sometimes it is inconvenient to carry large pillow everywhere.
