The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece is a simple and effective oral device for use in the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Made of special soft feel plastic it comes ready to use. There is no heating or moulding required to achieve a correct fit and you still continue to breathe through your mouth. The SnoreWizard moves the lower jaw slightly forward and holds the mouth slightly open. This improves the airflow at the back of the throat and eliminates snoring in most cases. The Snore Wizard was developed by a dental surgeon and the product has undergone numerous clinical trials in which it was found to reduce snoring and sleep apnea in 94% of research subjects. The Snore Wizard was designed to increase the space behind the tongue by bringing the lower jaw (mandible) forward, opening the airway in the throat and eliminating snoring. Why Most People Snore Normally air passes through the throat to the lungs silently and unhindered. In snorer's however, fatty tissue, tonsils and adenoids can narrow passageways, creating turbulence that makes the throat tissue vibrate. The problem can be exacerbated by excess body weight and/or excessive alcohol consumption prior to sleeping. Snoring has nothing to do with the nostrils. How To Best Prevent Snoring Snoring will not occur if the airway in the throat remains open. This can be accomplished by holding your lower jaw slightly forward during sleep. This is the exact reason that The Snore Wizard was invented. Snoring problems and the more severe form, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) are common problems found in many households. OSAS is the most well manifested form of snoring diseases in which the affected person stops breathing during sleep due to an obstruction of the airway passage towards the lungs. Due to sleeping problems the affected individuals perform day time activities at a very reduced level, which gives rise to a wide range of problems, both from a medical and a social behavioral point of view. It has been well established that labor accidents as well as traffic accidents and reduced lifespan is immensely related to the prevalence of the common disease snoring. FAQ of the Snore Wizard Mouthpiece Can my Dentist or Doctor make a mouthpiece for me? Yes, but remember that they will have to charge for their time. Average costs are from $300 to $700. How well does The Snore Wizard work? The sleep clinics that prescribe mouthpieces to their patients, give a 94% success rate. How long will The Snore Wizard last? It depends on the individual. We recommend that you change the mouthpiece after about 9 months of use, though they often last much longer that that. How do you break down the cost of $1.84 per week? We amortized the price over 36 weeks, (9 months) which works out to approximately $1.84 a week. Will a jaw advancement mouthpiece help if I have Sleep Apnea? Sleep Apnea is something about which you should consult your Doctor. However many people that suffer from mild Sleep Apnea have said that mouthpieces do help with their breathing and snoring problems. Does The Noiselezz Mouthpiece work? YES! The Noiselezz Mouthpiece will work for people with a normal snoring problem. Is The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece hard to fit? No, it is a simple process which takes just a few minutes. Will I have trouble breathing with The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece in my mouth? The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece will allow you to breathe normally through your mouth or nose without any restrictions even though you may have a cold or allergies. Will my jaw be sore from being slightly forward during sleep? The average person requires an adjustment period of 2 to 3 weeks to reach maximum comfort. During this period you may feel a little discomfort in the jaw area but this will disappear a few minutes after removing the The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece.

Best Uses:

Bottom Line:

This thing works okay I guess; it irritates my inner gum on my lower jaw where the device pushes the jaw outward. Cutting it to fit, as the insert advises, would likely create a sharper edge and further irritate the area so I haven't tried. If you inadvertantly turn over onto your back, it becomes ineffective (for me at least). I find that my teeth become sore after a night of wearing this, sorta like braces. I may try a mouthpiece without a breathing passage to hold the jaw at a lower angle.

I generally regard most claims as hype and business trying to put one over on us. This is NOT the case with Snore Wizard. I suffer from mild sleep apnea and now in my 50's have found the snoring and restless nights for the most part a thing of the past. This product does work and has not only cleared my daytime "foggy head syndrome" but has given me back more energy and focus....you do not know the difference in your everyday life until you use the product to show you what you have been missing. I'll hoprfully use it forever since its the least invasive and cost efficent way to get a refreshed nights sleep...no I have no affiliation with this company, I just wanted to alert others with similar symptoms that there really truly is a solution but far from a cure!

Cons:
Uncomfortable
Best Uses:

My only complaint is that the lower rear section of the mouthpiece extends below the gum and was painful. I trimmed it gradually until I felt it was more comfortable, but then it became less effective. My suggestion might be that there be more room between the lower front and rear sections allowing for more comfort on the gumline. Overall, I'm very pleased and will be ordering another.

Describe Yourself:
Middle aged 45-55
Primary use:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great product idea however, I am certain a considerable portion of the population has dental bridges ect or or missing some teeth which affect the use of your "Snore Wizard". By simply making some adjustment to allow your customers to purchase a Snore Wizard which accomadates the missing dental work when taken out at night (the dental work) would boost your sales signifcantly. One way this could be done is by making the opening in front longer not wider which allows for easier breathing at night when the Snore Wizard moves side to side slightly because of the missing teeth and lack of "grab" to hold it in place; thus blocking the ability for the user to breath easly. Then by making it more rigid overall but bordered with a soft gum lining at the top and bottom this would accomadate a considerable amount of potential users. Just a thought from a user who has to adjust it at night when it moves.

Pros:
Easy To Use, Effective, Good Smell, Soft edges for tongue
Best Uses:
Periodically
Describe Yourself:
Quality Oriented
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use it for several days and then give myself
a break. It's not something that I want to use
7 days a week for the rest of my life.

It has trained me to breathe thru my nose, which
eliminates or greatly reduces my snoring.

It will move slightly forward in the mouth at times which allows the snoring to return, but
it's a quieter snore, which appears to be tolerated by the sleeping partner.

Obviously, you get a better night sleep without snoring. I felt more refreshed in the mornings when I first started using it.

Easy to clean. A little soap and warm water each
morning and allow to dry; others (especially the
ones you mold to your mouth) have small creveses
which are harder to clean.

Quality Oriented
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Description should include caveat because item is not returnable. I wasted about [$] on a bite splint that won't work at all with my overbite.

It would be more useful if it molded to ones mouth. I had to trim it considerably for comfort. It works though.. Way more comfortable than cpap.
