I use one long strip inside my hands, full width at inside of wrist with 3 thin strips split to go over fingertips. I apply partial tension on the thin strips before sticking to curled (but not closed) fingers. This really helps hand fatigue when using computer and mouse all day. If tape comes off on the inside of finger joints, loose-fitting rubber bands solves that. Also, a long section inside my elbow, split around the inside ligament where it attaches to bone, helps circulation and improves healing for chronic tendonitis in that spot.

As a physical therapist I use Kinesiotape daily on my patients to inhibit muscles I don't want to work as well and facilitate muscles I want to work better. This is often used to decrease pain or increase function as well as correct bad postures and inhibit bad patterns of movement. I use this product on myself as well to alleviate pain or increase my own function.
This product will stay on for the promised 3-5 days if you clean your skin well and make sure there are no lotions or oils in the area of the skin to be taped. Blotting it with a towel to dry it following a shower and cutting off tape which hasn't adhered will help the rest of the tape last longer as well. It is also best to wait a couple of hours following taping before participtaing in sports or getting wet in order to allow the tape to activate (as it is heat activated) and to adhere well.

I was a skeptic about this product, really can tape help your aches and pains!? well i broke down and bought some (granted long backorder in place) but man let me tell you what this stuff is AWESOME. i suffer from neck pain and with a 4 year old running around there isn't much room for down time for mommy. I had a c-worker apply the tape to me this morning and almost instantly i felt the relief... i also bought the physio brand for my brother who plays college baseball he uses it for his arm and he swears by it (something or other about helping his bicep spasms) i highly recommend this tape and will be telling all my friends about it... im sure it won't cure a hangover but for muscle pains and spasms it sure gets the job done :)

I am a Division 1 College Diver and throughout the years I have tried many different remedies to dull the daily aches and pains. These remedies rang from the basics such as heat and ice to different creams including BENGAY and ICY HOT. However, this past March I tore a major muscle in my left shoulder. It took surgery in order to repair and nine days later began PT. After seven weeks of intense PT I was cleared to begin diving again. Although I was cleared to dive, I was still unable to do most techniques needed to continue to dive. I ended up taking 7 months off and just recently began to dive again on a scholarship for the University I attend. While watching the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics I noticed Kerry Walsh (Beach Volleyball) wearing the Kinesio Tape on her left shoulder. I did some research, on my own, on the product and decided to give it a shot. I didn’t receive the tape until two weeks into my college diving season. Throughout those two weeks I was unable to finish a practice due to soreness and stiffness in my shoulder. The day I received the tape in the mail, my shoulder was extremely tight to the point where it was physically impossible for me to lift my arm past eye level. Right before I had left for practice that day my roommate helped me put the tape on my shoulder. In a matter of forty-five minutes I already noticed a major difference in a.) my shoulder flexibility, and b.) the strength in my shoulder. After about an hour of having the Kinesio Tape on, I was able to raise my arm completely above my head and had complete range of motion being able to circle my arm in a complete 360 degree circle. For the first time in over seven and a half months I was finally able to complete an entire 3 hour practice. Not only has Kinesio Tape helped with my shoulder flexibility, strength, and range of motion, but it is also 100% water resistant. On average, I am in the water for four and a half hours a day. Although I’m in the water for such a long period of time, I am still able to wear one application anywhere from 6-8 days. My coach and my teammates now joke around and call the Kinesio Tape “the magical tape.” I believe this tape does wonders and I would fully recommend this product to anyone!!!

My daughter plays club and varsity high school volleyball and it seems that she always has an ache or a pain somewhere. We've used the tape wherever the ache is and it most definately helps. She forgets all about the pain and plays on. We will continue using this great product for many years to come!

I have found great success with using this to treat my rotator cuff injuries involving overuse. Also use this regularly to treat ITP band problems I have had when trying to increase strength in my knees pre and post surgically. I couldn't be caught without this tape...it has saved me major bucks and time at the therapist(PT)
Only disadvantage Ihave encountered is from time to time I have blistering or a slight allergy from adhesive on the tape so I check it from time to time for irritation...benedril helps. It hasn't stopped me from using it though.
