The Surround Air Multi-Tech XJ-3000C Hepa & Ionic Air Purifier removes particulate from the air such as: bacteria, mold, dust mites, and other allergens. The Multi-Tech XJ-3000 Air Purifier features multiple technologies to remove nearly all types of pollutants, yet very low replacement costs. This is the only air purifier that combines the top six technologies into one unit: true HEPA filter for dust and allergens, germicidal UV Lamp to destroy micro-organisms, activated carbon filter for chemicals, smoke, odors, ionizer for particles and bacteria, programmable sanitizer for odors, and anti-bacterial pre-filter for larger particles. I bought this product for a bedroom for someone who has allergies. I also wanted it for background noise as I live on a somewhat busy street. It seemed to work well, although it wasn't quite noisy enough for us, (That is probably a plus for most people). I then brought it to my husbands small smelly office and what a difference it made! It took about a week to really notice the difference. Even other people in the building noticed the difference! It is a very small office but had a very bad musty, moldy smell. Now I have to buy another one!

This is a great air purifier. I have one for home and one at work. You can hit a button to run it for a couple hours and it will shut off. THis is great if you don't need to run it continuously. They also make a smaller unit but this is quieter. I also like that I can shut off the ionizer or only run it for a couple hours at a time. We have 2 dogs and a cat and this keeps the pet hair and dust down nicely.

I'm very happy with this Purifier. I bought 2 for a basement studio apartment. I have noticed less dust and cleaner smell and feeling to the air. Does work well on normal/moderate cooking odors but not enought that I could actually cook something serious like a steak even with the extra air sanitizer. I don't have a ventilation fan and I was trying to compensate with the purifiers. In all fairness, I think that was expecting too much from any unit! It did clean the air better and MUCH quicker than my Oreck XL. I think the fans are very quiet and are just light backgroud noise since I alway run both on high speed. They are a great value for such a quality unit. I'm very pleased and would definitely purchase again. Extremely happy with Allegro Medical[...]

I ordered this product because my daughter has had respiratory illnesses ever since we moved into our house. I used this for a couple months and my daughter was still sick, so I called in a company to test the air in the house. The air test came back with astounding results....the air in our house had horrible results EXCEPT for our daughters room (the only room where I ran this air purifier). We are now renting "air scrubbers" to take care of the rest of the house....but according to the results of our air test----this product REALLY WORKS!!!
