Product Overview

Chad Therapeutics Oxymizer Oxygen Conserving Devices - Disposable

Oxymizer Oxygen Conserving Devices

OXYMIZER disposable O2 conserving devices concentrate oxygen delivery to the initial moment of inspiration, which allows for equivalent saturations at much lower flow rates.

Oxygen is generally administered via a nasal cannula flowing continuously throughout the respiratory cycle; however, the greatest benefit of oxygen therapy occurs during early inspiration with much of the remaining oxygen lost to the surrounding environment.

OXYMIZERS Features & Benefits:

  • Disposable products used in the routine nasal administration of oxygen
  • Two versions available to meet varying patient needs
  • Both models afford the same efficacy and oxygen-conserving efficiency
  • Patients will enjoy the simplicity of these convenient devices. There are no valves, no multiple parts, and no adjustments for patients to learn
  • Provides savings of 2:1 to 4:1, which permits reduced oxygen costs of up to 75%
  • Effective with all oxygen sources, including the TOTAL O2 Delivery System or standard oxygen concentrators, when flow rates greater than 3 lpm are required
  • Proven saturations at lower flow rates
  • Provides adequate saturations at high flow, eliminating the need for a mask

CUTTING COSTS DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK

Pros:
Effective.
Best Uses:
Daily Use.

The P-224 Pendant version of the old P-201 is so noisy you can't catty on a phone conversation with it on. So much for working with it. The O-224 mustache version is nice and quiet, just gets in the coffee every now and then. Would reccomend the O-224 but not the P-224. Cost cutting killed this product.

It makes your oxygen last longer.

Pros:
Effective.
Cons:
none.
Best Uses:
On-the-go.
Describe Yourself:
Budget Buyer.

Oxygen builds up in the pendant until your next breath. You can decrease the output of your device and still get the same result. It really saves on your consumption.

Answer:
Yes. These are equivalent to the cannulas sold (for much more) by Aerox.com, for example. They all come from the same manufacturer (Chad Therapeutics).

Answer:
When wearing the oxymizer pendant in the shower I found the membrane tended to stick together in the reservoir. Even with protction from water I felt the moister and heat diminished the life of the pendant and caused the membranes to also stick together.
