The Breather


The Breather is Great for adults and pediatric clients aged 4 and older with neuromuscular disease. It improves respiratory support for phonation, speech articulation, and swallowing. Aids both inspiratory and expiratory resistive breathing training (RBT), which strengthens the skeletal muscles of the neck as well as the pharyngeal and laryngeal muscles. Especially helpful in preventing aspiration. Produces great results in improving cough effort and breath support in speech training. Excellent oral/motor muscle trainer that improves swallow safety, which can lead to a diet upgrade. Can be used with metered dose inhalers, nebulization treatments, and breathing/speaking valves.

Training with The Breather: A great instructional DVD that simplifies using The Breather™. There are seven short segments from “Know your Breather” to “Getting Set for Success.” The additional therapies segment demonstrates nebulization and huff cough maneuver. Gets maximum benefits of The Breather.
