For G-tube Severe skin breakdown.....
Pros:
Non-Greasy.
Doesn't sting or burn.
Soothes Skin.
It heals.
Cons:
Wish it was cheaper.

I have severe drainage of bile and acid around my g-tube. (I use tube for constant stomach drainage, I am on my 2nd tube placement due to skin erosion)
My skin get burnt raw and bleeding, just a drip of bile makes me cringe. I have used barrier creams but it didn't heal the skin. I apply Care Gel in thick layer then apply Stomahesive powder, pat down w/ finger. Then repeat 4-5 times. I sometimes use barrier wipes like AllKare on top. When leakage occurs it turns into a gel, which can be carefully scooped up. I then either do it all over again or just apply more powder. If I am diligent the skin will heal under all of it.
