The Deluxe Swivel Seat Cushion helps prevent back and hip strain during transfers. It's made of 1-3/8" foam padding. 15" diameter. This swivel seat is also lightweight for portability. The swivel cushion seat also has a durable flexible base with slip-resistant bottom contours to seat to make sure it stays in place.

My 100 pound, 90 year old mother felt unsafe. Diameter could be bigger. She was using it on a wooden kitchen chair, and felt like she was coming off the cushion. It might be ok for a car.

This was purchased my mother who has limited mobility and found it difficult to get in and out of a car because of the weak legs and knees. I personally used the device in the car while dealing with a hip bursitis and was not able to turn without extreme pain. The device must be adjusted per person, otherwise, it will not turn when the weight is on it. It's simple to use.

My mom had hip surgery, and transferring is a problem. One has to be careful when backing up with walker to sit down on cushion in car. Too bad diameter is not a bit larger as a petite person has to land on top, and if not, must wiggle on top of it. The turning aspect is fabulous.
