This catheter is so stiff I only use it when I cannot get another catheter inserted into my stoma (Indiana Pouch). I think it might be painful for regular use.

CAUSED BLEEDING Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Sturdy.
Cons:
Unsafe. Heavy.
Best Uses:
Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Elderly.

LOW PRICE DREW ME. IRRITATION , BLEEDING, SWELLING FROM HARD PVC TIP AND/OR EYE POSITIONING CAUSED ME TO DISCONTINUE USE. SWITCHED BACK TO SOFTER RUBBER AND/OR SILICONE PRODUCT.

by YAR from LAS CRUCES, NM
Best For Me Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Easy Storage. Sturdy. Travels Well.
Cons:
Slight Bleeding.
Best Uses:
Urethral Cath. Emergency.
Describe Yourself:
Stricture and Stones.

I use this product for urethral catheterization when my stricture gets clogged with kidney stones. It works great to unclog and widen the area when a coude tip cath is too flimsy to get through. It sometimes temporarily causes slight bleeding and swelling, which disappears with constant use. Use plenty of SurgiLube when inserting to reduce this effect.
