This is an excellent product to assist with bladder (cathing) and bowel care for an individual with spinal cord injury. The product design enhances self-care and ease of care by the caregiver. This is my procedure: Flip open cap, squeeze needed amount on clean surface with-out touching tube to anything, flip cap closed. Use lubricant from surface. If this is not sterile enough for your needs then I suggest you use Surgilube Lubricating Jelly - Sterile - 3 gm - foilpac.

Flip top lid is easy enough for my use. I have tremors of my hands when I use them. I must self catheterize several times daily. Lubricates my catheters and is less expensive to use than KY jelly.
