Allegro Medical presents the HealthSmart Gateway Folding Rollator. HealthSmart® Euro Style Rollator Walker, Folding, Compact, Lightweight Aluminum
This sleek, stylish rollator will help increase your mobility and independence. The larger-size wheels glide easily over most surfaces without catching on bumps or cracks. The comfortable seat is there any time you need to rest. The large storage tote, with a comfortable shoulder strap, is perfect for groceries, shopping and personal items. To use: Push the rollator slightly ahead of you. Step into it one foot at a time. Repeat this pattern, and make sure the rollator is never too far in front of you. This rollator is easy to assemble and you won’t need any tools!

Most Compact Rollator Walker Ever!
Ultra-lightweight at just 17 pounds, this best-selling, European-style rollator lets you get around easily and fashionably. It’s easy to fold and light to lift. Due to the compact design, it folds to only 25 inches x 16.5 inches x 11.25 inches. Yet it’s sturdy and well constructed enough to support 300 pounds. Whether you live in the city, suburbs or country, you’ll find it easy to get around.

How to Properly Fit Your Rollator Walker
Wearing your shoes, naturally stand upright inside the rollator. Put your arms to your side with a natural bend at the elbow. Have someone measure the distance from your wrist joint to the floor. This is the height your rollator should be set at. Place your hands on the grips. Your elbows should comfortably bend at a 15-degree angle.

Features:

  • Lightweight, fashionable Euro rollator is as fun as it is functional
  • Mesh seat with padded backrest gives you a comfortable place to rest
  • Compact design weighs only 17 pounds and stores easily when traveling; folds to only 25 x 16.5 x 11.25 inches

Best Uses:
Walking with support. Sitting To Rest.

Severe leg tremors prevent me from standing in one place. This rollator gives me the support I need and enables me to keep my balance. I also use a motorized scooter for longer travels.

Super easy to stow in the car

Pros:
sturdy yet portable. can fold compactly . easy to stow in the car. seat is comfortable. easily adjustable.
Best Uses:
keeping in car for trips. when travelling. good all around walker.
Describe Yourself:
crippled but walking. Balance Problems. Multiple Sclerosis x15yrs.

My regular walker was to cumbersome and large to get in and out of the car quickly for trips to the store, church or visiting family and friends. With this more portable rollator, I keep my big walker in the house and this one stays in my car. I am extremely happy with it and wonder how I lived without it!

A Great Design!

Pros:
Attractive. stable. wheels large enough. great brakes. well made. easy set up/fold up.
Best Uses:
indoor & outdoor. exercise walking.
Describe Yourself:
crippled but walking.

I bought this rollator last year after spinal surgery crippled me; I can walk slowly for about 50-100 feet at a time. This rollator is superb, and much more stable than most sold. Why? Look at the back wheels in relation to the patient-they are further back. When I tried one of the 'cheapie' rollators I fell backward! I can use this beautiful rollator for exercise because the wheels are larger than most. The seat is very comfortable for the short periods I rest. It folds like a wheelchair-in the middle-and is easy to store in the back seat of my car. I have used it extensively and have had absolutely no complaints. The purple finish, which I ordered by mistake (I wanted black) is attractive and not garish, so I ended up keeping it! Very durable finish, doesn't scratch. Well worth what I spent for it.

A good rollator

Pros:
comfortable to use.
Cons:
stops at slightest rise.
Best Uses:
smooth surfaces.
Describe Yourself:
CHF shortness of breath.

The slightest raise, even a floor tile in height, stops the forward movement, especially when there are items on the seat such as groceries or something else that needs to be carried. Not very much weight on it makes the unit stop dead at a crack or rise. I don't have balance problems so am able to adjust but it could make someone with different health issues stumble.

So Far So Good

Pros:
easy assembly--fast shipm.
Cons:
takes up a lot of room .
Describe Yourself:
crippled but walking. Cannot Stand in Place. Balance Problems. obese w/ spinal stenosis.

I did a lot of on-line shopping before selecting this walker. I have a trolley-type walker I use in the house so this one stays in the car. Primary use is to get from car to destination. While pushing it, the seat is a handy surface to transport items like my book bag. I like the big wheels and the ease of folding it up but wish the wheels folded away without having to unscrew & then rescrew back in place. If it was any heavier, I wouldn't be able to lift it into the car. All those caveats said, I still like it.

Question:
Hello, I recently bought a HealthSmart Gateway rollator (item 501-5012-1110) for my mother. Unfortunately on my way back to Ecuador (we live overseas) the airline broke the right Push handle. The thing broken is an inside joint, this little plastic stick that connects the frame to the handle. I would like to purchase this part on line but I can’t find the site. Would you please tell where I can find this spare part? thank you

Question:
I just purchased the HealthSmart Gateway Rollator for my Mother who tires easily with walking in stores. I just took it out of the box and hand tightened the knobs. Is there any way to adjust the back strap. When seated my Mother feels the strap is too high. How can I tell which Model I purchased? The owner manual has several on the front cover. Is it OK to use it on concrete or asphalt surfaces? I really would like to speak with a person if possible. Does the warranty start on the date of purchase or the day I received the product? Thank you.

Answer:
This is meant to assist you while walking. You are not supposed to use it while sitting. I don't think it would be appropriate for you, as you're only supposed to sit on it while it's stationary.
