Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:
Short Term User.

My podiatrist recommended this at my first ankle surgery post-op appointment, say that using (forearm) crutches was probably "killing" my arms. Why he didn't mention this before surgery I don't know, but I guess that's between me and him. Anyway, he gave me a brochure for a different brand and model, which was not available at any stores in my area. I eventually found the Medline Freedom Walker in stock, and I've got to say it is very useful for saving wear and tear on the back, arms, and the "good" foot. The bummer for me is that although this is a relatively lightweight product, I live on the second floor of an apartment building with no elevator, so I don't take it outside as I would have to have one of the neighbors take it down and bring it back up for me. It is very sturdy, and fairly easy to maneuver. at first it seemed like the front wheelspan was too wide, but after zipping around for a little bit, I stopped running into walls. Sometimes, though, it is just easier and quicker to just grab the crutches and be on my way, but a good portion of the day I'm using this Freedom Walker which truly helps cut down a lot on a pain and stress in the other relevant body parts. Thumbs up for this.

Cons:
Loosening screws on bars.
Best Uses:
Wet Weather. Short Distances. Outdoors. Indoors. Can also sit and rest. Long Distances.
Describe Yourself:
Short Term User. Foot surgery user.

It gave me freedom to shop freely, the basket was great to carry items in the store and at home. I didn't have to worry about loosing balance and falling. I could move faster on the scooter than walking before or after the surgery. Easy to carry in a regular vehicle, folds down and is light in weight. Especially good for ladies that have the various type of foot surgery. Co workers liked to take it for a spin also. They added a horn.
