I'm my mother's caregiver. The original armrests had worn out and fallen off her wheelchair (that was the only thing wrong with the wheelchair) and her doctor had given her a prescription for a new wheelchair. I did some research and was able to find the armrests through Allegro's website. Mom loves the new armrests. They seem sturdier than the original armwrests.

I am a wheelchair bound auto racing and aircraft mechanic, and these armrests take a real beating. They last quite a while, but I eventually kill them, but they are inexpensive to replace. I keep a set or two in my toolbox just in case I really destroy one.

Why did I wait so long? Used wrap around material covers to cover worn and torn armrests for years, not knowing that this easy fix was available that I could apply easily and cheaply. Thanks for the quick service. Will be looking for a wide shower transfer bench and a 3" door riser for easier access from garage to house in a wheelchair and, perhaps, a easier passage riser for sliding glass doors to patio for a wheelchair. A pool body lift would be a great asset, but cost is a big factor. I think his swimming days are over.
