This leg lifter has a moldable aluminum insert that provides stability and strength as it assists the user with raising their leg. The bottom loop, with its aluminum insert, has to be opened up to accommodate the foot. Comfort of this loop is completely dependent on adjusting the insert to be flat under the foot. The user reaches the affected foot with the opened loop, holding on to the top end of the lifter. Slide the foot into the loop half way (similar to placing on a stirrup for a horse saddle), then by lifting with your arms, you can assist the leg in raising up onto the bed, or over the side of the tub.
This is a sturdy product that will last as long as needed.
