It is not pneumatic and no maintenance. Need correct tools to install, at the very least three screw-drivers and an extra person to hold tire in place.

New Hope

Pros:
Solid. Able to take a beating. Air free. Puncture resistent.
Cons:
None yet.
Best Uses:
Everything so far.
Describe Yourself:
Spina Bifida.

My 24 yr old son is extremely active and very hard on his wheelchair. I would spend so much time airing his tires, changing the tubes in the tires or getting a call from him that his tire was flat and I needed to come get him. These tires, so far, are holding up to the demands he places on them. He goes to the beach, thru the sand. He takes his very big dog, who loves to run, on long walks. He jumps any curb that's around and is constantly beating up on the tires. No problems at all so far. Thank you for these tires. They are truely great.

Answer:
Yes, they will fit. I switched to solid tires years ago and glad I did. You'll need mutiple (3 or 4) screwdrivers to install solid tires.

Answer:
If you have good arm, hand and shoulder strength you can change them yourself but it DEFINITELY HELPS to have a strong friend and four or five long screwdrivers.

Question:
How do I know it will fit in the rim? It's not the 24" measurement I'm worried about it's the part that has to seat into the rim that concerns me.
