seatbelt for wheelchair

Pros:
Can Withstand Use. Convenient. Easy to Use. Comfortable. Stays in Place.
Best Uses:
Travel.
Describe Yourself:
Elderly. user. Long Term User.

keeps me from being thrown out of my wheelchair (which DID happen) while being pushed up/down an uneven ramp. All wheelchair users should have & use a seatbelt. It really is a safety issue & is no fun for a wheelchair to suddenly tip & dump the user out of it!

Good quality belt

Pros:
Can Withstand Use. Convenient. Easy to Use. Comfortable. Stays in Place.
Best Uses:
Short Trips.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

Installed easily with two screws already on the transport chair. The buckle works as well as the one in our car and the material is good safety belt material. Note: If transporting in chair in a van it is still important to use tie downs and seat belt/shoulder strap connected to vehicle. I purchased it to use when moving my wife up and down ramps. It is long enough for over 250 lb. size 2X woman.

Pros:
Convenient. Comfortable. Easy to Use. Stays in Place.
Best Uses:
Daily Use.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

We had a Velcro seatbelt and it would come loose at the most inconvenient times. This seatbelt stays connected until the button is pushed.

Question:
Can any of these seatbelts be used without attaching them formally? The nursing home cannot use seatbelts, but family feels more secure when She is secured when we take her out

Answer:
Yes! You can attach these yourself very easily! Just remove the 2 screws that attach the seat to the frame, place the seatbelt's holes right where the screws were, and then put the screws right back (through the holes) & tighten. Truthfully, I'm a very "un-handy" girl & even I had no problems doing this! Took me about 3 minutes tops. My engineer husband couldn't believe that I didn't wait for him to do it...but who has the time for that! Lol

Answer:
I bought this as a replacement for the seatbelt on our transport chair. I simple removed the old belt and attached the new one in the same manner. The new belt is great and a much better quality than the original,

Answer:
I was able to attach to my Merit power chair by removing the arm rests and slipping the end loops down over the rear posts for the arms. In order to use this particular belt you need a way to get the end loops around a secure part of the wheel chair frame. I needed, you could wrap it around a part of the frame and place a bolt, nut and washers through the fabric to fasten it.
