| Seat Width: | Measure frame outside to outside in 1" increments. |
| Tapered Seat: | Measure frame width desired at back post to 10" deep and then front at edge of seat upholstery. Maximum difference is 4". Not available with V-Style front end. |
| V Style Front End: | Available for those customers wanting to eliminate the bend located at the midcalf. Not available with tapered seat. |
| Seat Depth: | Measured by the length of upholstery from the front of the seat sling to the back post. Standard is 15" for BB but available from 14" to 20". |
| Seat Height Front/Rear: | Floor to top of tube in the front and rear respectively, front range is 15" - 21", rear 13" -21". Most daily use chairs have a 1" - 3" difference. Sport application depends on the sport and the ability/disability. High level injuries prefer more drip in the seat and lower inuries less. The drop adds balance, security in the seat and better positioning for high injuries. This is very evident in Quad Rugby. Rear seat height is affected by wheel size. |
| Distance Rear-Front Caster: | Ranges from 17" - 21" measured from the outside frame to center of front caster housing. The shorter the person the shorter the chair. Recommended seat depth measurement plus 3". Average for daily use is 18". For customers who do a lot of forward reaching, a longer frame will prevent forward tippiness. |
| Distance Front Caster to Front Footplate: | Standard is 4" -- measured from the center of front caster housing to inside edge of the front frame downtube, measured horizontally. This id dependent on use and ability of user. Shorter is better but not always. Comfort of user must be the first priority. Recommended seat depth plus 3". |
| Caster distance: | This measurement is important to consider for side to side stability because the front caster housing is built into the chair and not clamped on. The standard center to center caster distance is built 3/4" narrower than the seat width. For stability it is best to Flare 1" if seat width is less than 16" wide.
