Product Overview

Quickie Wheelchairs Quickie 2HP

The Quickie 2HP uses the same modular folding frame as the Quickie 2. It also offers many of the same advantages - Quickie's True-Fit Program, the "lock-out" crossbrace and a solid, stable feel. However, the Quickie 2HP is a sportier incarnation. It has a fixed front-end with a one-piece flip-up footrest. It also comes standard with titanium hardware that is super strong and shaves off over one pound of weight.

Quickie 2HP Highlights
  • The most dependable chair on the market also has the best "bumper-to-bumper" warranty available
  • Sporty features and foldable too
  • Black anodized chair parts standard
  • Multiple wheel and caster combinations
  • Caster housing adjustments allow for true fork alignment when changing seat angles
  • Performance and function in one package-folding lock-out crossbrace locks to limit flex in the frame for more efficient propelling and "rigid" ride
Weight: 22 lbs. Weight Capacity: 250 lbs.

    Information about Quickie wheelchairs:

QUALITY NUTS AND BOLTS - Quickie uses quality nuts and bolts for better strength and tighter-fitting components. Quickie's nuts and bolts meet ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards. In high-stress areas, Quickie uses stronger, higher quality grade-8 bolts instead of lower grade bolts, which other manufacturers use. This means Quickie s grade-8 bolts are up to 150% stronger.

ANODIZING - Anodizing is an electro-chemical process Quickie uses to treat wheelchair parts. Anodizing is a process that makes parts much more durable and scratch-resistant than painted parts. With the focus on quality, Quickie even treats parts that aren't visable.

CNC MACHINING - Quickie uses parts machined by Computer Numeric Control (CNC). These parts are durable and have tighter tolerances than cast parts other manufacturers may use. CNC machining means Quickie parts are precise within the width of a human hair. This means the rider can expect durable, reliable parts that perform without slop or play.

QUICKIE'S TRUE-FIT PROGRAM - Physical changes can cause a chair not to fit properly. To ensure proper fit, Quickie offers one-time replacement for growth of the seat sling, back upholstery, footplates, hangers, back tubes, frame and crossbrace at no extra charge. (For up to three years from delivery on Quickie 2 wheelchairs shipped after November 15, 1995)

This is my main chair after my old QUADRA finally died after 20years of faithful service - I miss that ol' chair ! The 2HP is proving to be a pretty decent chair; had it now for nearly 3 years. I'm a c6-c7 quad and I'm in it every day; regular use consists of around the house stuff (cooking, laundry, dishes, etc.);on Sundays it fits easily into the trunk of my mid-sized car as I go to Church and is light enough for my friend to load and unload. It handles well on pushes around my neighborhood, up to the store, and around the college campus and at the mall, etc. The only thing I really dislike about it is that the brake levers sit too high and can easily contribute to sores if hit during transfers. Otherwise I like the chair and I'd buy another if I needed to.
