Strolleasy Transporter
Lightweight Portable Transport Wheelchair

The Strolleasy Transporter is an amazingly comfortable ultra-lightweight chair at a terrific price. This portable transport wheelchair is perfect for all activities, especially travel.

The Srolleasy's patented, full-featured design makes it more comfortable than many wheelchairs that weigh more than 3 times as much. The full size seat- 20" wide x 18" deep, accommodates most people under 250 pounds.

Features:

  • Body conforming sling seat design, like those comfortable camping chairs
  • Full length armrests are both flexible and adjustable
  • Full width, swivel footrest has variable height adjustment
  • Precision ball bearing wheels glide smoothly
  • Ergonomic push bar design reduces stress on arms when pushing
  • Breathable PVC Coated Polyester Upholstery
  • Shoulder strap and handle for easy carrying
  • Brakes are foot operated by the caregiver (no more bending over)
  • Tool free breakdown and assembly
  • Fits easily in any trunk

The Strolleasy Transporter is simply the most comfortable, convenient, and lightweight chair of its type. Its ease of use allows more freedom of movement for more people, improving their lifestyle. At less than 14.5 pounds, it is, by far, the lightest chair of its kind. It folds or unfolds in less than 30 seconds. It comes with its own carrying bag which stays with you by attaching to the back of the chair when not in use. The bag has both regular handles and a shoulder strap to make carrying easy. It fits into compact cars, and will even fit in the overhead compartment of most airplanes. It rolls easily and has an ergonomically designed push bar.

Describe Yourself:

This chair folds compactly making it easy to fit in a car trunk along with luggage making it great for travel where space is a premium. With just 3 pieces, it assembles and dissasembles quickly and easily and the user, my mother, reports that it is quite comfortable. Unfolded, it is surprisingly sturdy. Armrests do not come off or swing out of the way and are not adjustable for height. Rear wheel steering makes control a little squirrelly until one gets used to it. Nylon fabric seems durable and easy to clean. We added a couple of velcro straps to keep the foot rest support rods from swinging about during handling. Because the wheels are smaller than a normal wheelchair, you do have to go backwards over bumps and door transitions. As this is a transport chair, self propel is not a real option, plus the brakes are on the rear wheels and not accessible to the user. Haven't tried the chair on grass or soft surfaces, but, I would expect it to be somewhat difficult to push as the wheels are not that big, plus, the chair may tend to flex more. It rolls easily on fairly smooth pavement and the sling type seat absorbs some of the bumps.
