The 3M Medipore Soft Cloth Surgical Tape is Latex-free, hypoallergenic Soft Cloth tape that offers excellent adhesion yet gentle to reduce risk of skin irritation. Available in perforated rolls.

Medipore tape is a non-woven polyester, soft, highly conformable tape. It is comfortable, porous and breathable. It stretches to accommodate swelling and movement. The tape is perforated so that no scissors are required. It is easy to handle, with or without gloves, without curling edges, or sticking to itself. Medipore tape is particularly useful for securing wound dressings, tubing and catheters, and repeated applications where preservation of "at risk" skin is critical. Available in several widths and packaging.

Describe Yourself:
Frequent skin issues. Paraplegic.

As a paraplegic with skin issues, I keep this tape on hand for use with active wound healing and because I can cover a potentially weak area and protect it from further breakdown as it heals. It's a tape I can use over and over on the same area with no irritation. It requires no scissors since it's perfed every 2 inches and can be purchased in several sizes. (I prefer the 4" size) Finally, it's less expensive than the same type of tape with 'backing'. (See Similar Products I Own.) I find the only drawbacks are that it tends to roll on the edges if rubbed against something, especially when first applied; and that it's difficult to handle with gloves on!
