DuoDERM CGF Sterile Dressings


DuoDERM CGF Dressing is a hydrocolloid, moisture-retentive wound dressing used for partial and full-thickness wounds with exudate. It incorporates a unique ConvaTec hydrocolloid formulation that distinguishes it from other hydrocolloid dressings. DuoDERM CGF Dressing is indicated for use on dermal ulcers including full-thickness wounds, pressure ulcers (Stage II-IV), leg ulcers, superficial wounds, partial thickness burns and donor sites.


DuoDERM CGF Dressing products interact with wound exudate and enable removal with little or no damage. DuoDERM CGF Control Gel Formula Dressing helps protect against contamination. DuoDERM CGF Control Gel Formula Dressing can be used as primary or secondary dressings and remains in place for up to 7 days. Sterile.

When my skin breaks down, this is one of the first things I use, both to soften the necrotic tissue, and to cover the wound as it begins to heal. (I learned this from wound care professionals) Not only is it a sterile cover; it absorbs some of the fluid exuded. (I use a gauze bandage as well, to avoid leakage and to help secure the DuoDerm.) One thing I've learned--the adhesive is rather messy and can be almost impossible to remove from fabric; another reason to use a covering bandage. While Allegro makes every effort to keep prices down, this item costs quite a bit. The larger sheets are a better bargain.
